10 MEMORIZATION ETHICS

 

Whoever wishes to have high power of memorization (of knowledge) must adhere strictly to the following ten ethics:

1. Mid night (voluntary prayer) even if it be two rak'at
2. Constant Ablution if there is or there is no Salat
3. Fearfulness of Allah in secret and manifest
4. Eating out of piety not for pleasure
5. Constant Stick brushing (Siwak) if there is or there is no Salat
6. Very strict revision of the books constantly
7. Mindfulness of orthodox manners towards one's teacher
8. Constant recitation of the Qur'an
9. Being in service of one's parents
10. Good behaviors

NOTE:

All the listed ethics are not the entire points in memorization ethics. They can just benefit students of knowledge and can lead him/her to the orthodox points as far as Shari'ah is concerned.

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: A man came to the Prophet and said, My brother has some Abdominal trouble. The Prophet said to him Let him drink honey. The man came for the second time and the Prophet said to him, 'Let him drink honey. He came for the third time and the Prophet said, Let him drink honey. He returned again and said, I have done that ' The Prophet then said, Allah has said the truth, but your brother's `Abdomen has told a lie. Let him drink honey. So he made him drink honey and he was cured. Bukhari:5684

As for how to use honey to cure constipation, get a cup of cold milk mix with one spoon of honey to be used morning and night. Insha Allâh, the stomach will be soften and purified.
