Whoever wishes to have high power of memorization (of knowledge) must adhere strictly to the following ten ethics:
- Mid night (voluntary prayer) even if it be two rak'at
- Constant Ablution if there is or there is no Salat
- Fearfulness of Allah in secret and manifest
- Eating out of piety not for pleasure
- Constant Stick brushing (Siwak) if there is or there is no Salat
- Very strict revision of the books constantly
- Mindfulness of orthodox manners towards one's teacher
- Constant recitation of the Qur'an
- Being in service of one's parents
- Good behaviors
NOTE:
All the listed ethics are not the entire points in memorization ethics. They can just benefit students of knowledge and can lead him/her to the orthodox points as far as Shari'ah is concerned.
